“Chelsea has been broadcasting to millennials for eight years,” said Heather Brebaugh, president of ResumeBear. “On her new TV show, she interviews guests on a variety of topics that are important to millennials. One of the most relevant topics is jobs. We started talking about how ResumeBear could help. We decided to pull job tips from our nationally recognized blog and share those at the end of each TV show.”

According to “Millennial Jobs Report for March, 2013” released by Generation Opportunity, the March unemployment rate for millennials is 11.7%, but when the labor force participation rate is factored in, the percentage becomes 16.2%. Labor force participation takes into account those who have given up and dropped out of the job search. There are 1.7 million young workers between the ages of 18-29, representing the millennial generation, that have given up their search for a job. An Economic Policy Institute Report states that wages of college graduates decreased 8.5% between 2010 and 2013.
“Our job tips are designed to help career seekers with both resume and interview preparation,” said Brebaugh. “We’re excited to be able to provide valuable tips through our blog and to be able to help millennials create, send, and track their own resumes.”
ResumeBear recently won the 2013 About.com Reader’s Choice Job Search Award for the Best Resume Site. The competition included Monster and Indeed, among others.
