A lot more information can be given in graphs than in words as our brains work with images better than words.
It looks like that is a lot of optimism in the market place for this years grads.
Now is the time for next year’s grads to start their job search because it takes a greater effort to get that first job in our current economy.
Those with a GPA below 3.0, don’t despair. According to the graph, there are still 35% of those 73.4% of companies that screen by GPA still want you.
Interesting graphic. My advice for those about to graduate is to hit the ground running and start your job search early… at least a few months before graduation. Start networking and building a strong online presence, particularly with LinkedIn. Spruce up your resume and register with ResumeBear.com. Talk to those professors who have spent at least as many years on the job, as they have in academia. They are likely to have some great contacts. And finally… be flexible. Your first career choice may not be in as much demand as your second or third choice.
