The LinkedIn Rockstars, Mike O’Neil and Lori Ruff have been at it since early 2005. People asked “How can I get out of LinkedIn what YOU get out of LinkedIn?” So they answered the call. Then, in March 2006, Mike and another well-connected friend sat in a Starbucks in Denver CO deciding what to offer to an influential group of association executives. Their solution: A LinkedIn Training Program to be held at the University of Denver sponsored by LinkedIn. The training would be designed to help the executives attract, retain, and provide value for their members.
Was it effective? You decide. Today, Denver boasts one of the highest per capita of LinkedIn users in the world. The Greater Denver area also has more professionals on LinkedIn than Facebook has members. That’s saying something. For years, Mike and his team trained professionals, some of whom became LinkedIn trainers. And his influence has spread across the country and around the world, tracking the growth of LinkedIn.
Today, O’Neil and his LinkedIn Diva, Lori Ruff, are 2 of the top 25 featured on Forbes Top 50 Social Media Power Influencers in the world.
What does this mean for you? For seven years, Mike and Lori have been developing training materials, writing books, ebooks and articles about LinkedIn and Social Media. They have created the first online, on-demand E-Learning portal for teaching sales teams how to use LinkedIn to bust quota. They have simultaneously been gathering all their resources and training together to house in one place, at http://RockLinkedIn.com. It’s been dubbed “The Missing Manual on LinkedIn” by several of their high profile fans. One look at the site and you’ll believe that too.
Along with their books, ebooks, links to their popular radio show “Rock The World with LinkedIn” and several recorded webinars for job seekers, recruiters, and even a webinar showing you how to utilize your online networking to empower in-person events. They also include 10 lessons (including real instructor-led video) from their acclaimed 1-2-3-Rock LinkedIn program and even sample lessons for sales professionals (a great find for anyone who is responsible for bringing dollars in the door).
Registration is required because this is housed on their E-Learning platform. But you’re not registering for their newsletter. Sign up today. Take it for a test drive. Let me know if you agree that this is the solution for comprehensive and complimentary LinkedIn training.

“The Greater Denver area also has more professionals on LinkedIn than Facebook has members.” Color me confused. What is resumebear saying here? Where am I going wrong on this quote? Sorry, help me understand. Thanks. sQs

Thanks for the post. I have been playing with this site for about a month. I have found it to be very informative, educational, as well as entertaining. Wow, Linkedin can be fun. The collection of videos crisply focus on key success elements for a great Linkedin experience. As co-moderator of #LinkedinChat on Twitter, I have been creating a playlist of Linkedin Training videos to help users past the 140 character limit on Twitter. I no longer have to do it given this great resource.
Fantastic article and link. Different people are most comfortable on different social networks. People who love Facebook may feel lost on Linked In, and so forth. So this is a fabulous resource. Bookmarked it!
Great article. When Reid Hoffman and his partners founded LinkedIn, they had no idea where or how far it would eventually go. Fortunately, they built a great product. Like ResumeBear, Google and other great Internet sites, LinkedIn is a work in progress, with satisfied users organically guiding the direction of the company.
What important information to get out to people! Thanks for posting this.
This is GREAT information as I know a lot of people who get lost in Linkedin and the whole socila media medium. Thanks
I wish I had known about their Linked in training program. It would have saved me a lot of hits and misses. Now I know.
